Contemporary Women Artists from the
Middle East and Beyond

February 23, 2018 - April 9, 2018
Opening: February 23 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm

A River Flowing investigates the theme of contemporary womanhood through the work of eight women artists from across the world. Featured works focus on the fluidity of experience, the exploration of the self, and the effect that ancestral memory has on our daily lives. Each artist will display a series of work which offers a nuanced glimpse into their identity. Through photography, painting, sculpting, printmaking, videography, and more, these artists craft powerful and provoking narratives exploring what it is to be woman.

is like a river flowing.
